Supply Chain Manager
Location: Westport, Connecticut
Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications. Competitive benefits package and management bonus
Reports to: Director of distribution and supply chain management
Manages: None, this is an individual contributor role
- Manage all aspects of ongoing supply chain operations for industrial bulk materials from U.S. loadports to customers' plants
- Minimum 10 years of industrial experience in the deep sea shipping industry
- Chemical Engineering or Merchant Marine Graduate preferred
- MBA preferred
- English as primary language, fluent in a second language, Spanish or French preferred
- International Travel: 20%
- Must have the ability to function in diverse countries
- Deep sea operations, shipment planning, voyage execution, laytime calculations, dispatch/demurrage analysis and reporting
- Develop ongoing analyses of both ANSAC and competitors' delivered costs, including discharging, warehousing and trucking
- Manage inventory levels in each country
- Develop scenario analysis and input to improve freight costs and customer service
- Monitor and ensure that ANSAC benchmarks best practices in each country
- Contractor's evaluation and reporting
